SUMMER CAMPS

SummerCamp2020

COST for each camp: $175

Members $157.50

July 13-17
Super Heros in Training
with Clarissa Mahnkopf

Come and join our galactic adventure as you create your own superhero name, design a comic book, craft your favourite superhero, and make Marvel or DC inspired costumes. We will use our imagination and explore our potential while creating Capitan America’s shield, Wonder Woman’s cuffs, a Spiderman painting, and much, much more!

July 20-24
Art Attack
with Derrick Wills

This camp will explore spontaneous art. The camp has no single theme; art has no boundaries – it just happens.

Campers will use their sketch books or daily journals for ideas and structure.

We will use elements and principles of design, colour and texture, line shapes, as guidelines for our camp projects. We will also have a major class project involving all the students.

July 27-31
Hawaian Hullabaloo
with Clarissa Mahnkopf

Dare to explore the tropics while we create Polynesian and Hawaiian inspired crafts.

We will make 3D tiki masks, watercolour palm trees, painted pineapples, scratch art tribal shields, and unique starfish.

Prepare for a week filled with imagination, creativity, and colourful creations!

August 10-14
Around the World in 5 Days
Celebrations of Nations
with Clarissa Mahnkopf

Welcome to our cruise around the world where we will explore multi-national cultural creations.

This week we will make African masks, Chinese dragons, Australian boomerangs, a Mexican clay sun, and a colourful Indian peacock!

Not only is this week educational, but it is filled with crafting, painting, modeling, weaving, gluing, and beading.

August 24-28
Exploring Famous Artists
with Clarissa Mahnkopf

Do you want to become a famous artist one day? In this week’s camp we will explore famous artists of the past and present to learn about their unique designs, techniques, and talents.

We will make a 3D bowl like Matisse, a blue painted dog like Rodigue, and painted flowers like O’Keefe, to name just a few crafts this week!
